Part-time Church Office Administrator – St Mary-at-Hill
Location: St Mary-at-Hill, Lovat Lane, Eastcheap, London, EC3R 8EE
Hours: 12 hours per week, with the opportunity for flexible working
Salary: £12,000 per year, plus pension contribution

About Us:
St Mary’s is a Church of England parish situated within the City of London, and is actively looking to refocus its mission and ministry. We are looking for a capable and reliable Church Administrator to support the smooth running of the church life and ministry.
The Role:
The Church Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the parish administration and provides vital support to the clergy, PCC (Parochial Church Council), and church volunteers.
Main Responsibilities to include:
- Managing church communications (email, phone, website, notice sheets, social media)
- Preparing weekly service sheets, newsletters, and notices
- Handling bookings for the church with support to the Treasurer
- Maintaining accurate church records (including rotas, registers, and databases)
- Liaising with clergy, churchwardens, and volunteers
- Supporting the Safeguarding Team
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR, Safeguarding policies, and other statutory requirements
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Communicates clearly and warmly, both in writing and in person
- Is confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic website/social media tools
- Can work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage their time well
- Is sympathetic to the mission and ethos of the Church of England
- Previous experience in administration or a church setting is desirable but not essential.
